The day had started out so perfectly, the sun was out, the air was warm and excitement filled the air. Students were all so ready to find their place, to join the club that would change part of what their school year would be like. Some would join the same as before, and some would be bold and try for something new. Alena stood with the other cheerleaders, having arrived early to set up their booth and begin drawing attention be sounding off with some of their new cheers. It still made Alena giggle when she called out the teams name, how it even got approved was beyond her. But maybe it was all part of the entertainment of it all? Within us are our own senses of identity, constructed by our familiar discourses, the physical environment and its embedded culture, and our individual differences. Our sense of identity accounts for our perceptions of ourselves and how we are positioned by others in terms of culture, tradition, rituals, race, family, religion and education (Allen, 2004). We predicted that the direction of change would be from the membrane to the beaker. We understood how these processes affected the selectivity of the cell membrane. In Beaker 5 there were changes that ranged from -2. 7-0. This is the results that my group gathered from another group that did well because our results were way off and inconsistent. So we were forced to use better results to find better explanations. We understood that the conditions under which osmosis is possible and to what degree it occurs. The triple bottom line combines the three factors of environmental, economic and social sustainability. The economic sustainability in the fast food sector has been proven in the past by Mc Donald’s balance sheets. Concerning the environmental angle, one can argue that there is room for improvement. For instance in Austria Mc Donald’s is starting to use local products and has sorted rubbish for several years. There are programs in place to aid Farmers become more sustainable, bringing Mc Donald’s supply chain to a high standard of environmental responsibility. Concerning social sustainability, the fast food industry is lacking vision. They are providing healthcare to people in need but why not tackle the cause of these children’s health problems?
